Pilot project off Ulsan coast aims to find space for AI infrastructure
SEOUL -- South Korea is developing plans for an underwater data center, seeking space to accommodate artificial intelligence infrastructure in a country with limited land area.
The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries in April chose the southeastern city of Ulsan, a hub for industries such as autos and shipbuilding, as the site for a demonstration project that could lead to a larger plan for a huge undersea AI infrastructure complex.
