Dell: Notebook mit neuem Intel-Celeron-M-Prozessor (Update)

Latitude D505 mit 14,1- oder 15-Zoll-Display. Dell bietet mit dem Latitude D505 nun sein erstes Gerät mit dem Intel-Celeron-M-Prozessor mit bis zu 1,3 GHz und einem 512 KByte großen Level-2-Cache oder mit einem bis zu 1,5 GHz schnellen Intel-Pentium-M-Prozessor mit einem 1 MByte großen Level-2-Cache an.

In beiden Gerätevarianten sitzt der Intel-855-GME-Chipsatz. Er verfügt über eine integrierte Grafiklösung, die 4fach AGP- und den USB-2.0-Standard unterstützt. Das Dell Latitude D505 ist wahlweise mit einem 14,1- oder 15-Zoll-Display verfügbar, jeweils mit XGA-Auflösung (1.024 x 768 Bildpunkten).

Das Notebook ist mit einem Modem (56K V.92), WLAN (Dell TrueMobile 1300 mit bis zu 54 MBit/s oder Intel Pro Wireless 2100 mit 11 MBit/s) und einem integrierten 10/100-MBit/s-Ethernet-Netzwerkchip sowie zweimal USB 2.0 ausgerüstet. Bei Konfigurationen mit einem Intel-Pentium-M-Prozessor und einer Intel-Pro-Wireless-2100-WLAN-Karte darf das Latitude D505 das Intel-Centrino-Label tragen. Zur drahtlosen Kommunikation mit Peripheriegeräten unterschiedlichster Art steht Bluetooth (Dell TrueMobile 300) zur Verfügung.

Das Latitude D505 kann den Port-Replicator, Notebook- und Monitorständer, Module, Netzteile und Zusatz-Akkus der D-Familie nutzen. Das Latitude D505 wiegt 2,3 Kilo und misst 33,1 mm x 338,4 mm x 273 mm. Akkulaufzeiten gab Dell nicht an.

Das Dell Latitude D505 kostet in der Einstiegskonfiguration 1.159,- Euro. Darin enthalten sind ein Intel-Celeron-M-Prozessor mit 1,2 GHz, MS Windows XP Professional, Intel-855-GME-Chipsatz, 128 MByte DDR SDRAM (maximal 2 GByte) mit 333 MHz, ein 14,1-Zoll-Display und eine 20-GByte-Festplatte. Hinzu kommen 10/100 Ethernet LAN, ein 56K-V.92-Modem, eine Intel-Pro-Wireless-LAN-Karte und ein 24xCD-ROM-Laufwerk.

Dell bietet das Latitude D505 ab sofort auch in einer gehobeneren Ausstattung zum Einführungspreis von 1.333,- Euro an. Darin enthalten sind ein Intel-Celeron-M-Prozessor mit 1,2 GHz, MS Windows XP Professional, Intel-855-GME-Chipsatz, 512 MByte DDR SDRAM mit 333 MHz, ein 15-Zoll-Display und eine 40-GByte-Festplatte. Hinzu kommen eine Intel-Pro-Wireless-LAN-Karte, Dell TrueMobile 300 Bluetooth und ein DVD-/CD-RW-Combo-Laufwerk (8x/24x/24x/24x). Zur Auswahl steht Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Home und Windows 2000.
